Clean Water Fellow
Austin Melcher is a Clean Water Fellow working in the Willamette Partnership’s Clean Water Program. He is currently a Master’s student at the University of California, Santa Barbara’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management specializing in water resources management as well as economics and politics of the environment. Prior to pursuing his Master’s degree, Austin worked as an environmental consultant on water infrastructure projects, including seawater desalination and recycled water projects, for water utilities throughout California. Having experienced the complex challenges of supplying clean water, Austin is focused on finding solutions to sustainable water management issues that provide multiple benefits to utilities, communities, and the environment.
