Marc Hiller

GreenWood Resources, Inc.

Marc Hiller is the Director of Acquisitions for GreenWood Resources, Inc. He leads GreenWood’s timberland acquisition activities, including sourcing and developing investment opportunities, leading financial analysis, and structuring and negotiating transactions. For almost 20 years, Marc has worked as a forester with private equity firms and small- and large-scale forest managers. Earlier in his career, he worked on forest management and certification issues with The Forest Trust, Rainforest Alliance, and a community-based forest management project. Marc has worked and lived in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, and Australia.

Marc currently serves as Treasurer for Ecologic Development Fund , an organization that supports local communities to restore and protect tropical ecosystems.  He also serves on the Board of The Climate Trust, a non-profit mobilizing conservation finance in air, water, and soil through the development, purchase, and sale of qualified offsets. He received a MBA from Yale School of Management, a Master of Forestry from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and a B.A. from Emory University.
