WP Alum | Fellow, PSU Leadership for Sustainability Education, Fulbright Scholar Program

Ly Duong was born and raised in Vietnam and came to Portland to pursue an MS in Leadership for Sustainability Education at Portland State University thanks to the Fulbright Scholar Program. Ly believes all beings are equal and deserve to be loved and cared for. She has pictured herself as a storyteller and co-facilitator who co-creates safer spaces with other beings, including human and non-human beings. In these spaces, all beings could listen to each other’s stories, then connect more deeply to themselves, their community, and the surrounding communities. Ly is currently working on leading nature walks out at Leach Botanical Garden as a fellow of the Health & the Outdoors Initiative.
