Treasurer & Lyme Timber Company
Marc Hiller (Treasurer) is the Director of Investments for Lyme Timber Company and is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new timberland investment opportunities, structuring and negotiating transactions, and managing existing investments. For twenty years, Hiller has worked as a forester with private equity firms and small- and large-scale forest managers. From 2012-2017, he served as Director of Acquisitions for GreenWood Resources, Inc., leading GreeWood’s timberland acquisition activities in Europe, South America, and the United States. He previously worked on forestland acquisitions and management with International Forestry Investment Advisors and New Forests. Earlier in his career, Marc Hiller worked on forest management and certification issues with The Forest Trust, Rainforest Alliance, and a community-based forest management project. Marc previously served on the Boards of two U.S. environmental organizations, The Climate Trust and Ecologic Development Fund. He received an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management and a Master of Forestry from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 2007 and a B.A. from Emory University in 1998.
