Naomi Lowinger (she/her), Partner since 2023 | Human Resources & Administration

“I really love supporting the people in an organization – and therefore the work – with solid process, structure, and communication. I am excited to use my skills to reinforce and bolster the thriving communities and ecosystems at the heart of Willamette Partnership’s work.”

As the Partnership’s Human Resources and Administration Partner, Naomi brings the “human” to human resources. To her, this means centering her work on people and building on their strengths. She believes that HR should always be there for people, bringing equity and inclusion to the center of its work.

Throughout her career with nonprofits, local businesses, and community groups, Naomi has seen how internal structures and financial systems can affect workplace culture and, ultimately, mission impact in communities. The Partnership has worked to streamline and update its systems to support a positive, collaborative culture, and Naomi is excited to continue to dive in and grow the Partnership’s internal capacity. Bringing a lot of heart and appreciation to her work, Naomi strives to listen to and advocate for the people around her. She hopes and believes that building a strong community at Willamette Partnership will help build stronger, more equitable communities across the Pacific Northwest.

Naomi experienced the intrinsic link between people and nature first-hand, growing up in western New York and seeing the effect industry, and post-industrial landscapes, had on the health of her classmates. After going to school for environmental science and getting more involved in environmental activism, she began to understand that access to clean air and water are human rights and that environmental justice is critical in community growth and development.

Today, in her free time, you can find Naomi reading, biking, and adventuring for edible food – her love of being outside combined with understanding a place through food has made thoughtful foraging a favorite activity!
