WP Alum | Fellow, PSU Honors Rosenbaum Service Leadership Scholars Program

Ruby Howard (she/her) is a Willamette Partnership fellow and Portland State University student majoring in Environmental Science and Management. Ruby is joining Willamette Partnership for the 2021/22 school year through PSU’s Honors Rosenbaum Service Leadership Scholars Program. She is interested in habitat conservation, specifically through engaging private landowners in the process, environmental justice, regenerative agriculture, and reconnecting people to nature.

Prior to her fellowship at Willamette Partnership, Ruby worked as a docent at a marine center and spent summers volunteering at a sea turtle conservation program in Mexico. She also volunteered with the organization Global Student Embassy to help implement gardening and composting programs in local K-12 schools. In her free time, Ruby enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, and cooking — especially with veggies she has grown herself.
